SONJA WOOL BLANKET
SONJA WOOL BLANKET
Description
Our high-quality blanket Sonja made of warming, fluffy double fabric (gray-white,100 percent Faroese virgin wool) is an island of coziness. All production steps from the woolen cloth to the blanket are done in a traditional woolen weaving mill in southern Germany; a rarity nowadays. Sonja is breathable, year-round, has a classic striped pattern, fabric sides with mirrored colors - and fringes. Standing in Saksun on the Faroe Islands, you see a lagoon, a grass-roofed church, and horses. Black and brown and white pied, with thick, tangled manes. The Faroese horse, føroyska rossið, has roamed the rugged landscape of the windswept islands for over a thousand years. The small, robust and good-natured Faroese horses were workhorses for centuries; today the remaining animals are used only for preserving the breed and for riding. We had to think of them when we held our first fringed blanket in our hands.
